The Livestock Data Analytics (LDA) team welcomes international researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students who wish to conduct a research stay with us. We foster a collaborative environment and welcome global talent to advance the intersection of data science and livestock production together.

Why collaborate with the LDA team?

  • Access to Real-World Data & Facilities: Through our affiliation with AGROTECNIO and our close partnership with the Centre d'Estudis Porcins (CEP), we provide the unique opportunity to work with empirical data from automatic feeding systems and validate predictive models under real farm conditions.

  • Multidisciplinary Environment: You will work directly with experts in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Agricultural Engineering, bridging the gap between AI algorithmic development and its direct implementation in the sector.

  • Support for Projects & Funding: We participate in several international research networks and provide active support for joint funding applications and research grants (such as ALIO, CYTED, ORAFM,  or Erasmus+ programs).

Who are we looking for? We are open to researchers with analytical profiles (Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Operational Research) as well as livestock scientists with a strong interest in digitalization, Big Data, and mathematical modeling. Stays can be short-term or long-term, tailored to the specific goals of each research project.

How to apply If you are interested in a research stay, developing part of your PhD thesis with us, or exploring new avenues for inter-institutional collaboration, please get in touch. Send us an email at alda.info@udl.cat including with a brief proposal outlining the research areas you would like to develop together.
